Dance in the rain

When it rains in your life, enjoy the rain? It represents nourishment and increase. Stop crying and dance!

God answered me! Oh yes he did

Have you ever prayed and then opened your bible and the answer was right there. Well I’m going to be a little personal and I hope you understand. I have been feeling increasingly overwhelmed in the last few weeks, I’ve been praying and this morning I prayed again and asked God to clear the passages of understanding in my mind. I’ve been feeling so stupid learning something new and not getting a full understanding. It just seems as if everything is pressing hard on my mind and my emotions. I’ve been praying and worshipping extra just to stay balanced. This is the word God sent me, so I shout hallelujah to the God of Abraham, Jacob, Moses and Sheveze. The God who keeps his promises, the God of another chance. I sing hallelujah because when I feel pressed on every side and ask for release, it is given. Thank You Lord for being exactly who I need you to be. Hallelujah!
His answer:
People tell silly stories that don’t agree with God’s truth. Don’t follow what these stories teach. But teach yourself to be devoted to God. Training your body helps you in some ways. But devotion to God helps you in every way. It brings you blessings in this life and in the future life too. You are young, but don’t let anyone treat you as if you are not important. Be an example to show the believers how they should live. Show them by what you say, by the way you live, by your love, by your faith, and by your pure life. (1 Timothy 4:7, 8, 12 ERV)

Let God be strong so you don’t have too.

God, you give true peace to people who depend on you, to those who trust in you. So trust the Lord always, because in the Lord YAH you have a place of safety forever. (Isaiah 26:3, 4 ERV)

It sounds so easy when people tell you “Pray about it”, “you have to cast your worries to The Lord” , girl, “Take it to the alter and leave it there”. All those sayings begin to sound like Charlie Browns mom wasaawaaawaawaa

Reality check, what does trusting The Lord look in real life? Many of us come into our relationship with God with major trust issues, we have been let down over and over by the people in our lives. We actually give God the same characteristics of the people we have encountered in our lives. We think we have to prove our love with deeds, that we have to beg and barter for his love and protection. We feel that once we mess up he won’t trust us or bless us anymore. We feel that God will get tired of us messing up and give up. Well, speaking from personal experience none of that is true, but the devil will tell you that and will keep reminding you of your faults. Trusting God for me came through trial and tribulation, one day I knew I had to change my thinking because everything I was doing was making the situation worse. I sat down and prayed, then I waited on the word from God to show up. He sent people at my job with a message, at the grocery store, random people I encountered, all with the same message, none knowing of my prayer. He confirmed his answer to me and it was simply this, Trust Him! So I did and I’ve never regretted it. It’s not easy to admit your powerless in a situation until you realize God has all the power you need. So go ahead let God be strong and you just trust him.

I want them to be strengthened and joined together with love and to have the full confidence that comes from understanding. I want them to know completely the secret truth that God has made known. That truth is Christ himself. I tell you this so that no one can fool you by telling you ideas that seem good, but are false. You must depend on Christ only, drawing life and strength from him. Just as you were taught the truth, continue to grow stronger in your understanding of it. And never stop giving thanks to God. (Colossians 2:2, 4, 7 ERV)

Matthew 5;29-30

“If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.”

I’m reading my friend Kellen book titled “ONE” and I stumble across this scripture. It struck me pretty hard. I mean I read it like 2 days ago and it’s still heavy on mind. Its like God are you serious Gouge my eye out or cut my hand off?  So as I read further Kellen goes on to say “whats crazy is allowing our sin to continue to push us into Hells fire…” I know I know people don’t like to talk about sin but it’s SO REAL!! I know we think we can continue to act a fool and just tell God we are sorry and the gates of heaven will swing wide open. NOT SO, If you are truly serious about turning away from sin you have to pray over that “thing” and BEG God to remove it from your heart so that you wont do it anymore. I know we all sin daily and nobody I mean nobody is perfect. But that does not give us a free pass to act a fool.So I ask on this day what do you need to Gouge out your spirit, what do you need to cut out your life? I know its going to be hard but I promise you it’s so worth it!!!!!!!!!

I don’t want to be lost.

It is worth nothing for you to have the whole world if you yourself are lost.

Dear father, I am so thankful for all that you have done, all the promises you have kept and for keeping my mind safe from harm. Father as I go about my day I beg that you lead me, if I go alone I could get distracted, turned around lost and destroyed but with You, I know where I am going. Father as people and things frustrate me I ask that you renew my mind, renew my spirit and keep me from being used by the evil one. I love you God with all my heart and I ask that my actions reflect the love I have for you. Keep my mind and my mouth on safe ground. I ask these things in Jesus name, counting it all joy! Hallelujah Amen

Pray in your own way, he hears you!

Dear Father, you said when we pray, say this, Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is heaven. Let your will guide our steps and our hearts, cover us Lord and keep us in perfect peace. Father your ways are not our ways but we still need you to show us the way you would have us. Lord we struggle each day with trusting you because we are children, train us up Father and we will not depart from your will or your way. We need you Lord to teach us so we can walk in our destiny. in Jesus name, Amen.

I don’t need that kind of love!

Isn’t it great when you find that perfect man/woman who does everything just right? They love you, provide for you, doesn’t get angry, let’s you have your way all the time, buys you just because gifts, flowers and chocolates. I’m on the floor laughing because I don’t know anyone who is that perfect, do you? I’d probably get sick of them after about a week, lol. It seems like it would be easy to love that person right?
“If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. (Luke-Acts 6:32 BOOKS)

How about that person that lies all the time, that steals from you, hurts you, makes you cry, won’t get off drugs, won’t stop beating you or cheating on you? It’s easy to be “done with them”cause love ain’t like that, if they loved me they would not do that, if that’s what love is, I’m good. Any of that sound familiar, it does to me. I’m struggling with that right now and it’s hurting me because I loved that person and did everything in my power to help them and I kept getting mistreated in the situation. I washed my hands of them, but God keeps reminding me of me? How I’ve not done right all the time, I’m not perfect, I’ve hurt people.
“Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. (Luke-Acts 6:37 BOOKS)

So I’m saying a prayer this morning, dear Father, give me a clean heart, renew the right spirit in me and let me be compassionate to the suffering of others. Lord if I turn away in my flesh, turn me back. I love you Lord, and I praise your Holy Name. in Jesus name, Amen.
