I dare you to learn a new thing

Whew this year is only seven days old and the enemy is already continuing the ruckus. The things happening in life right now are proof that you have to stay in prayer, trust God and remember the promises he has made.

When you look over things happening in the world the news seem dire. There was an airplane that lost a door inflight. The fighting continues in Israel and Hamas. A child shot up a school in Iowa killing one and injuring many others. Kids are missing from their homes, families are falling apart, marriages are failing and people are losing the battle with depression and anxiety. Just hearing this little snippet of data is scary and if you can imagine it’s only the tip of the iceberg.

Living in this world would lead you to believe that there is no hope. The things of the enemy are disastrous and horrendous but the things of God, are like a breath of fresh air. Only God can keep your mind in perfect peace and keep you from failing. I think about these two scriptures

”God is strong and can keep you from falling. He can bring you before his glory without any wrong in you and give you great joy. He is the only God, the one who saves us. To him be glory, greatness, power, and authority through Jesus Christ our Lord for all time past, now, and forever. Amen.“

Jude 1:24-25 ERV

”God, you give true peace to people who depend on you, to those who trust in you. So trust the Lord always, because in the Lord YAH you have a place of safety forever.“

Isaiah 26:3-4 ERV

The enemy has a job to do and he never gives up, lets up or goes on break. Learn from him to be steadfast and immovable. Learn from him to be persistent in what your purpose is. Learn from him because if you fail to learn from him you are bound to fall into him.

”With every step you take, think about what he wants, and he will help you go the right way. Don’t trust in your own wisdom, but fear and respect the Lord and stay away from evil. If you do this, it will be like a refreshing drink and medicine for your body.“

Proverbs 3:6-8 ERV
