When U Pray

 ²⁶ Then the man said, “Let me go, for it is daybreak.” But Jacob replied, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.”²⁷ The man asked him, “What is your name?” “Jacob,” he answered.  ²⁸ Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.”  ²⁹ Jacob said, “Please tell me your name.” But he replied, “Why do you ask my name?” Then he blessed him there. ³⁰ So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying, “It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared.”

I was reading this scripture and it really touched me. We have to be more like Jacob in situations. Tell God We wont let him go until he bless us. When going through certain life changes we have to trust God with everything that we have. It’s so easy to get discouraged or feel that God has left us but he is right there every time. Even when we bring a lot of pain on ourselves. Think of all the situations that you should not have been in and God still found a way to make it better. But let’s be real, if you are not doing your part, God can not do his. So we have to make a conscious decision on what and whom we will serve. When you believe God with your heart, you will not doubt what his word says. So on this day lets not just say we are christians lets start to act like one. Unbelievers have the heart for everything worldly. We can’t call ourselves christians and want the same things they want. Kingdom living is what it’s all about!!!
