A day in the life

Luke 6:31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.

I have to share my most recent experience,  it reminds me of how God is always planning and working things out for us.

Last week I went to a store to pick up an online order. The young lady who waited on me was kind, cheerful and very helpful. I had planned to pick my package up and leave.  Well, those were my plans,  not God’s.  The young lady asked me to try the garment on to assure it was alright before I left. I  didn’t have much going on so I said, sure. I tried the garment on,  she gave me advice on how to wear it and I was ready to go.

I said my thank you’s, my goodbyes and then she said “Can I give you a hug?”, you just seem to have a great spirit  (I may have those words a little mixed up but that is the meaning of what she said). Of course,  I hugged her, oh yeah. She began to share some of her story with me. This young lady is in the middle of major life changes but she was smiling. I, being who I am asked many clarifying questions and we got to talking about her relationship with God.  Well, she is looking for him, she has been to multiple churches but has not found on yet. I invited her to Ebenezer Ministries,  the Stone of Help. I am not sure if she will show up but I pray she finds something.  I expressed to her that more important than church is her need to have a relationship with God.

This young lady touched my heart. I gave her my number and a Whenupray business card. I hope she calls me, texts me or something because she touched my heart in 15 minutes  in the middle of a department store.

This was a reminder to me to always represent Christ. Did I mention that I was tired, that I was on day 9 of a terrible headache and I was heading home to lay down?  None of that matters, because God knew where I needed to be.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.

Luke 22:32 But I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.

Follow your heart..
