The other day I was so frustrated with my prayer that I did not know what to do. I sat down to pray and no words would come, of course that made me even more frustrated. I was thinking about my problems, my cares and my concerns, and not the problem solver. I had lost track of my responsibility for the blink of an eye. I know that concentrating on the problem feeds the negative. I knew I needed to stop the cycle of feeding the monster. Fear, doubt, frustration, anger, envy, strife, crazy people, family problems, personal problems, other people problems, lack of self esteem, these are all monsters.
I sat down and asked myself, what did God say about prayer? He answered:
“Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. (Matthew 6:8-13 NKJV)
This whole prayer speaks of Trusting Him. Let him handle this “Thing” for you, whatever it is he has said he knows what you have need of. His will be done! Hallelujah
The devil thought he had me best because my head was down, but he realized his error when I lifted my head and said “Amen”
