In The Tomb

“Then Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a new linen cloth. He put Jesus’ body in a new tomb that he had dug in a wall of rock. Then he closed the tomb by rolling a very large stone to cover the entrance. After he did this, he went away.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭27:59-60‬ ‭ERV‬‬

I rejoice today because as I thought about that tomb I was reminded that great things happened during the time Jesus spent in The Tomb. It is said that he went down to hell and took back the sting of death. It is assumes that he was preparing a place for you in heaven as he said he would.

“There are many rooms in my Father’s house. I would not tell you this if it were not true. I am going there to prepare a place for you. After I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back. Then I will take you with me, so that you can be where I am.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:2-3‬ ‭ERV‬‬

In The Tomb Jesus was preparing for our future. If your situation looks dim, if your heart is broken and you can’t see it whole again, rejoice..if you have been let down and hurt, rejoice. If you have more bills than money and you are not sure of your future, rejoice. If your children are not acting like your vision or lining up with the word of God , Rejoice. If your marriage is going through troubled water, relax and remember who calms the waters, Rejoice. The time you spend in the tomb is not wasted, that is the place where you find out who YOU are, that’s the time you learn who God is to YOU.. that’s the place where you take the sting out of that THING that tried to take you out. The Tomb is an experience that we all face in our lives. Some of us are faced with a Tomb situation many times in our lives but it is meant to be a place of rest and healing because if you remember the story, it did not end at the tomb.,,

HE GOT UP! Hallelujah HE GOT UP. It says on the 3rd day, HE GOT UP. That tomb is not meant to be the end of the story.

“The angel said to the women, “Don’t be afraid. I know you are looking for Jesus, the one who was killed on the cross. But he is not here. He has risen from death, as he said he would. Come and see the place where his body was. And go quickly and tell his followers, ‘Jesus has risen from death. He is going into Galilee and will be there before you. You will see him there.’” Then the angel said, “Now I have told you.””
