To him who is able

“Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.”
‭‭Jude‬ ‭1:24-25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Do you have that one scripture that just calls out to you; when you hear it your entire soul, says, YES? Me too, and Jude 1 24-25 does that for me.

Let me go back a little and show you how it started.. I use the easy to read version for that because it speaks to me in my language. Jude was reminding the people that when you do wrong, there is a price to pay. The Bible is the good news, so even in his warning ,hallelujah, he shared some good news.
“Greetings from Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James. To those who have been chosen and are loved by God the Father and have been kept safe in Jesus Christ. Mercy, peace, and love be yours more and more.”
‭‭Jude‬ ‭1:1-2‬ ‭ERV‬‬

But he goes on on to remind you of what happened in Sodom and Gomorrah , what happened to the angels who chose darkness and the people who lived in sin. He reminds us that there is a price to pay but, and I don’t like to use that word, however it’s appropriate here, but, this is not the future for those that believe.
“They told you, “In the last times there will be people who laugh at God and do only what they want to do—things that are against God.” These are the people who divide you. They are not spiritual, because they don’t have the Spirit. But you, dear friends, use your most holy faith to build yourselves up even stronger. Pray with the help of the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves safe in God’s love, as you wait for the Lord Jesus Christ in his mercy to give you eternal life.”
‭‭Jude‬ ‭1:18-21‬ ‭ERV‬‬

That’s some good news right there… God is able to keep you from falling .. he is able to bring you faultless before him. I am over here shouting with joy while writing this.. he is able to allow the blood of the lamb to cover your sins, and all you have to do is BELIEVE!

Y’all, I am Over here shouting as I’m reading to prepare for this word. Think about this, if you believe you receive another helper.. yes Lord
““If you love me, you will do what I command. I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper to be with you forever. The Helper is the Spirit of truth. The people of the world cannot accept him, because they don’t see him or know him. But you know him. He lives with you, and he will be in you.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:15-17‬ ‭ERV‬‬

Ok, I think you get it.. there is good news for those that believe .. what do you believe? I will make my declaration clear.

““But maybe you don’t want to serve the Lord. You must choose for yourselves today. Today you must decide who you will serve. Will you serve the gods that your ancestors worshiped when they lived on the other side of the Euphrates River? Or will you serve the gods of the Amorites who lived in this land? You must choose for yourselves. But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.””
‭‭Joshua‬ ‭24:15‬ ‭ERV‬‬
“God is strong and can keep you from falling. He can bring you before his glory without any wrong in you and give you great joy. He is the only God, the one who saves us. To him be glory, greatness, power, and authority through Jesus Christ our Lord for all time past, now, and forever. Amen.”
‭‭Jude‬ ‭1:24-25‬ ‭ERV‬‬

So, so true. And Jude’s admonition for us to contend for the faith as we live in obedience comes through in his book. Great thoughts. Glad we can rest in this fact……..that Jesus died and rose again to pay for my sin and present me faultless before the Throne.

    1. Thank you for reading it …
