There are some things God has promised me, and I’m standing on them. Just like in the world we say, “stand on that,” I’m standing on THE WORD — because God’s Word is the only thing that never shifts, never breaks, and never fails.

“I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse those who curse you. I will use you to bless all the people on earth.”

Be careful how you treat God’s people, because God stands on His own Word, and whatever He has spoken concerning us will come to pass.

So when God said:

“Be strong and be brave. Don’t be afraid of those people because the LORD your God is with you. He will not fail you or leave you.”
Deuteronomy 31:6 (ERV)

He meant it. And if you ever start to doubt it, pause and look back over your life. Think about the moments you thought you solved your own problems — then look again. It could not have been anyone but God who carried you through.

When God says:

“Don’t worry and say, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ That’s what those people who don’t know God are always thinking about. Don’t worry, because your Father in heaven knows that you need all these things.”

He is reminding you that He has already made provision for every need. If you doubt it, remember the times you didn’t know where money for food or clothes would come from — yet you were never hungry and never naked. It may not have been steak and lobster, but you ate. It may not have been Gucci or Nike, but you had clothes. Because God’s Word is true, and His provision is sure.

When God said:

“We know that in everything God works for the good of those who love him. These are the people God chose, because that was his plan.”
Romans 8:28 (ERV)

He was reminding you that every trial, every tribulation, every joy, and every moment of excitement was designed to grow you into the person He called you to be. If you change one thing, you change them all. Those trials strengthened your prayer life, deepened your worship, and shaped your faith. Nothing that happened to you was an accident — there are no accidents in the Kingdom of God.

Never forget that our God created the world with His Word, and every word He speaks, every promise He makes, will come to pass. You can stand on His Word because He stands on His Word.

“My words leave my mouth, and they don’t come back without results. My words make the things happen that I want to happen. They succeed in doing what I send them to do… All this will happen to make the LORD known, to be a permanent reminder of his goodness and power.”
