I have severe dry eye and was prescribed an ointment to put in my eye at bedtime. I woke the next morning to my eyes feeling refreshed but I also realized the ointment acted as a moisturizer for my eyes. I was pleasantly surprised at the un-intended benefit.
The idea of un-intended benefits started me to thinking about my walk with God. You begin the relationship following the direction you are given by your pastor, your friend, the bible or a combination of the three. As time goes on you realize you have some extra things added to you. You start praising The Lord in spirit and in truth and you realize -And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto myself. (John 12:32 ASV)
You begin to see as you walk in his shadow your life begins to change and so does your heart.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against things like this. (Galatians 5:22, 23 CEB)
You begin to notice that no matter what happens in your life, your gonna be okay. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no danger because you are with me. Your rod and your staff— they protect me. (Psalms 23:4 CEB)
So I say, go ahead, do not be afraid of the things he is doing in your life, I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for. (Jeremiah 29:11 GNB)
