You didn’t cheat on me, you cheated yourself. You didn’t believe in yourself so you searched for validation through sexual gratification.
You didn’t devalue me, you devalued my love for you. Because you don’t love yourself, you couldn’t believe I loved you either.
You didn’t create me, so no matter how long we are together and no matter how many experiences we share, you cannot define me.
If you make a bad decision, learn from it. Don’t take bad behavior and wear it like a badge of honor. There is no honor in dishonesty, there is no honor in disloyalty, there is no honor in brokenness.
Until you learn to love yourself, Until you understand who you are, you should give love a break, self love is the most important thing you can give yourself. Hurt people, hurt people. Allow time for healing before you invite anyone else into your life.
Apologizing to someone after you shatter their life is like asking water to flow backwards or asking the moon to rise at noon. Of course people forgive because, it’s a must if you want to be whole again but you can’t unsay the mean thing, you can’t uncheat nor can you unbeat.
“Try to do what is good for others, not just what is good for yourselves.”
1 Corinthians 10:24 ERV
