There are times in your life when you have to stand by what you believe. Young people are always talking about “standing on business,” but what business do you have? What can you stand on?

If someone asked you, “What scripture are you standing on right now?” could you answer them? Have you found the Word of God that grounds you when you get tired? Have you ever needed a word from God and had it jump right off the page at you?

This Word right here has carried me through many rough times in my life:

“This is why I tell you to never be worried about your life, for all that you need will be provided, such as food, water, clothing, everything your body needs. Isn’t there more to your life than a meal? Isn’t your body more than clothing? Consider the birds. Do you think they worry about their existence? They don’t plant or reap or store up food, yet your heavenly Father provides them each with food. Aren’t you much more valuable to your Father than they? So, which one of you by worrying could add anything to your life?”Matthew 6:25-27 (TPT)

How can worrying help me? It can’t. And it can’t help you either.

It’s important to find something that grounds you when life gets hard. It’s important to have a Word buried in your heart that can hold you steady when your mind wants to show you every possible scenario and convince you how bad things are.

The older generation used to sing, “Hold to God’s unchanging hand,” and it’s because they lived long enough to learn that it’s the only thing that truly works.

Plan A: Trust God.
Plan B: See Plan A.

“So above all, constantly seek God’s kingdom and his righteousness, then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly. Refuse to worry about tomorrow, but deal with each challenge that comes your way, one day at a time. Tomorrow will take care of itself.”Matthew 6:33-34 (TPT)
