When U Pray

It is worth nothing for you to have the whole world if you yourself are lost.

Dear father, I am so thankful for all that you have done, all the promises you have kept and for keeping my mind safe from harm. Father as I go about my day I beg that you lead me, if I go alone I could get distracted, turned around lost and destroyed but with You, I know where I am going. Father as people and things frustrate me I ask that you renew my mind, renew my spirit and keep me from being used by the evil one. I love you God with all my heart and I ask that my actions reflect the love I have for you. Keep my mind and my mouth on safe ground. I ask these things in Jesus name, counting it all joy! Hallelujah Amen

Dear Father, you said when we pray, say this, Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is heaven. Let your will guide our steps and our hearts, cover us Lord and keep us in perfect peace. Father your ways are not our ways but we still need you to show us the way you would have us. Lord we struggle each day with trusting you because we are children, train us up Father and we will not depart from your will or your way. We need you Lord to teach us so we can walk in our destiny. in Jesus name, Amen.

Isn’t it great when you find that perfect man/woman who does everything just right? They love you, provide for you, doesn’t get angry, let’s you have your way all the time, buys you just because gifts, flowers and chocolates. I’m on the floor laughing because I don’t know anyone who is that perfect, do you? I’d probably get sick of them after about a week, lol. It seems like it would be easy to love that person right?
“If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. (Luke-Acts 6:32 BOOKS)

How about that person that lies all the time, that steals from you, hurts you, makes you cry, won’t get off drugs, won’t stop beating you or cheating on you? It’s easy to be “done with them”cause love ain’t like that, if they loved me they would not do that, if that’s what love is, I’m good. Any of that sound familiar, it does to me. I’m struggling with that right now and it’s hurting me because I loved that person and did everything in my power to help them and I kept getting mistreated in the situation. I washed my hands of them, but God keeps reminding me of me? How I’ve not done right all the time, I’m not perfect, I’ve hurt people.
“Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. (Luke-Acts 6:37 BOOKS)

So I’m saying a prayer this morning, dear Father, give me a clean heart, renew the right spirit in me and let me be compassionate to the suffering of others. Lord if I turn away in my flesh, turn me back. I love you Lord, and I praise your Holy Name. in Jesus name, Amen.

I can hear Eddie Murphy in Coming to America singing in my head “To be loved, to be loved ohhh what a feeling to be loved”, when he fell in love with his Queen. Remember how good it feels to know you are loved? What about the butterflies you get when you hear their voice, when they touch your hand, when they comfort you, when you finally get it, they love you and they are not leaving. What about when they have seen you at your best and worst and loves you anyway. That’s the love I’m talking about. Agape Love

Who do you love so much that you would kill your child for them? I must be honest and say I could not kill my child even to save myself. But that’s how God loves!

Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him would not be lost but have eternal life. (John 3:16 ERV)

When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, and I made plans like a child. When I became a man, I stopped those childish ways. It is the same with us. Now we see God as if we are looking at a reflection in a mirror. But then, in the future, we will see him right before our eyes. Now I know only a part, but at that time I will know fully, as God has known me. So these three things continue: faith, hope, and love. And the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:11-13 ERV)

But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith will not fail. And when you turn back to me, you must strengthen your brothers.” (Luke 22:31, 32 GNT)

Good morning Lord, I am coming to you will a heart filled with gratefulness. I thank you for the sacrifice your Son made at the cross, for the blood that allows me access to the tree of life. As I go on this day, Lord I ask that you give me peace, the peace of the Holy Spirit that allows me to trust you, I know you are working on my behalf and I need your peace so that I stay out of your way Father as you work these situations out. I pray that same peace for my sisters, when the evil liar tries to tell them they are not worthy, that sin is separating them from you, when the liar tries to tell them they can’t do it, they are not pretty enough or any other vile lie, let the blood that rained down Calvary’s cross cover them and grant them peace. We shout Thank You! In Jesus name, amen.

I love you Lord

Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning.

Cry if you need to. Sometimes life is so overwhelming all you can do is cry. Lyfe Jennings said “crying is like taking your soul to laundry mat.” Sometimes it needs to go. I tell you life is crazy sometimes, you get negative so many negative ideas poured into your mind and that’s all you hear. Anybody ever tell you that something on you was not to their liking? You know, your butt is too fat, your nose is too big, your stomach ain’t as flat as it used to be. Girl when you gone gain some weight. Girl you still working out? Is that your hair or some weave, cause it’s a mess. Why does it seem like after you hear all that negativity someone can say the nicest thing to you, tell you how great you look, how pretty you are etc etc etc , and all you hear is the negative? There is always hope in the kingdom.

We have this treasure from God, but we are only like clay jars that hold the treasure. This is to show that the amazing power we have is from God, not from us. We have troubles all around us, but we are not defeated. We often don’t know what to do, but we don’t give up. We are persecuted, but God does not leave us. We are hurt sometimes, but we are not destroyed. (2 Corinthians 4:7-9 ERV)

Let it all out, the pain the hurt the anger and the frustration , cry child, let it go because it is poisoning your spirit.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. (Romans 12:2 ESV)

I know the best thing we can do is always to enjoy life, because God’s gift to us is the happiness we get from our food and drink and from the work we do. Everything God has done will last for ever; nothing he does can ever be changed. God has done all this, so that we will worship him. (Ecclesiastes 3:12-14 CEVUK00)

Who remembers the No Fear advertising commercials? These ads reminded you not to be afraid. My favorite one said “Second place is the first loser”. Something about that touched me because 20 years later it still resonates in my mind and heart. No Fear!

When I find myself afraid I have to talk myself down because life is scary. Out of nowhere came a fear of bridges and overpasses. I had no desire to
drive, I was 30 years old before really started driving. People hear that and ask, did you get over your fear? Nope, but it’s something I have to do, some days I’m crying and shaking but I keep going. NO FEAR!
The Spirit God gave us does not make us afraid. His Spirit is a source of power and love and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7 ERV)

Lord, you have given me your shield to protect me. It is your help that has made me great. (2 Samuel 22:36 ERV)

I remind myself in the middle of my fear what GOD SAID. The enemy will try and tell you how bad something is, how your situation is dire and can’t be saved. Lie lie lie that’s what he does. For nothing is impossible with God. ” (Luke 1:37 NLT) boom, killed it, the lie is revealed. There is nothing too hard for God.

Whatever your fear is, give it to God!

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6, 7 NKJV)

1Tim 2:1…………Heavenly Father, I give thanks for our government.
1 Tim 2:2………..I pray for all men and women having authority over us in any way.
Prov. 1:23……….Pour out Your Spirit upon them and make Your Word known to them.
Ps 25:21………..Cause them to be men and women of integrity, obedient concerning us,
1 Tim 2:2………..that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life, in all godliness and honesty.
Prov. 2:10……….Let wisdom enter their hearts, and let knowledge be pleasant to them.
Prov. 2:11……….Let discretion preserve them and understanding keep them,
Prov. 2:12……….to deliver them from the way of evil and from evil men.
Psalm 1:1……….Make their hearts and ears attentive to godly counsel,
2Chr 20:32………doing what is right in your sight.

Do you ever feel like “it’s always something?” Something to get over, something is broken, something is wrong, someone is acting a fool, something has caused you unspeakable pain? It’s true, it is always something! Real life happens and we have these tragedies that try to take us out. We have things happen that are unimaginable. Your husband is cheating on you or beating on you and you can’t see an end to the pain. Your children or spouse is on drugs and bringing turmoil to your family and nothing seems to help, not even prayer. You lose your job or your spouse does and now you have bills and bill collectors climbing up your back. Maybe a loved one is overtaken with some long term terminal illness and it seems as if your prayers are unanswered. Maybe there is a death of a loved one. Maybe your on drugs and can’t see an end. Maybe your a molester or an abuser?

Just like it’s always something happening in your life to destroy you, there is something to help you, to keep you strong, to build you up where your torn down, to heal your pain, to ease your struggle, to calm the raging storm. I call him Emmanuel, God with us!
“The virgin will be pregnant and will give birth to a son. They will name him Immanuel.” (Immanuel means “God with us.”) (Matthew 1:23 ERV)

Trust God has made a way for you to escape your situation. You may not know how to pray or how to find scripture in the bible. You don’t feel as if you can trust anyone with your secrets (good idea), but you got knees, get down on them and ask God to be with you. Ask Jesus to save you and he will. He will provide everything you need, every step of the way you will be covered.

Remember, I commanded you to be strong and brave. Don’t be afraid, because the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9 ERV)

I was riding to work today and I realized that I need a little pick me up. I would like for you to share some of your favorite scriptures with me that help you get through some rough patches or just because… I will share a couple of mine as well..

Everyone that knows me know that my ALL time favorite scripture is 1 Samuel 10:6 “Then the Spirit of the LORD will come upon you mightily, and you shall prophesy with them and be changed into another man..

My very close second is Matthew 6:25-26 “For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? “Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?…

Deuteronomy 30:16 “in that I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, that you may live and multiply, and that the LORD your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to possess it.”

“But in your great mercy you did not abandon them to die in the wilderness. The pillar of cloud still led them forward by day, and the pillar of fire showed them the way through the night. You sent your good Spirit to instruct them, and you did not stop giving them manna from heaven or water for their thirst. For forty years you sustained them in the wilderness, and they lacked nothing. Their clothes did not wear out, and their feet did not swell! (Nehemiah 9:19-21 NLT)

I tell you not to worry about your life. Don’t worry about having something to eat, drink, or wear. Isn’t life more than food or clothing? Can worry make you live longer? Don’t worry and ask yourselves, “Will we have anything to eat? Will we have anything to drink? Will we have any clothes to wear?” Only people who don’t know God are always worrying about such things. Your Father in heaven knows you need all of these. Don’t worry about tomorrow. It will take care of itself. You have enough to worry about today. (Matthew 6:25, 27, 31, 32, 34 CEVDCUS06)

I asked God for the words to tell you today, none of mines seemed enough to answer the questions of his people, but I praise his Holy Name, his words are sufficient.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways, says the Lord. For just as the heavens are exalted above the earth, so also are my ways exalted above your ways, and my thoughts above your thoughts. And in the same manner as rain and snow descend from heaven, and no longer return there, but soak the earth, and water it, and cause it to bloom and to provide seed to the sower and bread to the hungry, so also will my word be, which will go forth from my mouth. It will not return to me empty, but it will accomplish whatever I will, and it will prosper in the tasks for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:8-11 CPDV)
