“It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High.”
Psalm 92:1 NIV

Some days, when I can’t seem to form a prayer in my mind, a song will rise up in my spirit. Worship through music comforts me when I feel stuck and lifts me when I’m low. I love how God uses a melody to meet me right where I am.
When I want to worship, I go straight to Hezekiah Walker — Every Praise.
That opening call — “Let me hear the worshippers!” — always stirs something in me. It reminds me that every word of worship truly belongs to God.
When I want to rejoice in His love, I turn on Norman Hutchins — Emmanuel.
That invitation to “Come, let us adore Him” settles my spirit every time. It’s a song that ushers me into His presence with joy and reverence.
And when I want to simply rest and bask in His presence, I listen to Fred Hammond — Please Don’t Pass Me By.
The heart of that song — the cry for Jesus not to pass us by — always reminds me of how deeply we need Him.
One thing I know for sure: I need worship in my life, and music gives me a doorway into God’s presence.
What’s your favorite worship song?
P.S. I only shared the opening lines of each song — I hope you’ll go listen to the full versions. I have a playlist of more than 130 songs that help carry me through.
Love y’all.
