    Dont you know that you yourselves are Gods temple and that Gods spirit dwells in your midst? If anyone destroys Gods temple, God will destroy that person; for Gods temple is sacred, and you together are that temple. (1 Corinthians 3:16-17 NIV)

     

    Everyone want to hear the good things about God. You want to hear that he has promises for you, that he will make your situation better, that he will get you that raise you been needing. You want him to help get your kids, spouse and friends line. You want a bigger house, bigger car, better job. etc. But what have you done for God lately. All news is not good news coming from him. Talk about a newsflash for me. Having a relationship with God is a 2 way street. You can’t always expect to receive something. God take you through different seasons, different struggles and you have to be prepared for it. I know you thinking what does that mean? Well it means you have to spend time with God. Just like when you start dating. You always available, you doing everything possible to learn about this person. You will even sit up  on the phone all night acting like you not sleepy with this person. But when it come to God we want to put limits on it. Lets take the time to learn him like we would anyone else. Lets not just talk about him on Sunday, Lets not just use God as a conversation peace, Lets not just use God because it’s the in thing to do. You need God like you need your heart to beat. So lets remove all the foolishness from our lives so that he can dwell with us at all times. God and junk cant dwell in the same place. So what is more important in your life?

    Father God you are awesome and so worthy to be praised. You make the impossible possible. You see things in us that we don’t see ourselves. You forgive us when we are not worthy. You love us when we don’t have strength to love ourselves. Father God we want to be BETHEl(the place where God lives) help us remove sin so that you dwell within us, for we know according to Isiah 59:2 “But your iniquities have separated you from God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.” Hear our cries O Lord forgive us for our sins Father. Equip us with the tools needed to be better individuals. Help us to examine ourselves so that we can do better. Lord God you said “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it full. (John 10:10NIV)” so we rebuke the devil and his plans on this day.. We will claim the abundant life you promised us in Jesus mighty name!!! AMEN!! 

     

  • Your box of Alabaster

    Alabaster

    Imagine that every tear you cried or every hurt that you experienced resulted in a drop of precious oil that was worth millions of dollars. Imagine with me that you were able to sell it at any moment for its true worth, would you sell your pain and suffering? What would you do with the oil in your box? Would you use the oil for material gain and profit? Would you store it away and try to forget that you ever suffered such tragedy? Would you pour it on the floor of the person who caused you pain so they could stumble and fall?

    I hear the voice of CeCe Winans singing the song Alabaster Box and it brings to mind the oil of my own life. How do I deal with the pain and hurts of my past? What should I do? I want to be like the woman in the bible represented in the song.

    Dear Heavenly Father,
    I come to you this morning thanking you for the healing of my mind, spirit and soul. Lord I pray that my brothers and sisters find your peace, find that place in you where there is healing, where there is joy unspeakable, I want them to find you oh Lord. Activate their faith Lord and renew their minds. We sing praises to your Holy Name, and bless you in our words, actions and thoughts.   • Ipray(knowledge)

    My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. (Hosea 4:6)

    Lets look at it like this. When you have a medical emergency you go to the ER right, in most cases they just give you something to mask the problem until you can get to your primary care physician. If you think about it, that’s what we do with our life. We have problem after problem after problem but what do we do, we mask or try to hide the problem. Rather it be with shopping, partying, eating or simply just trying to ignore it. The problem is still bubbling on the inside and we are only covering it up. Its time to get to the root of the problems that we have. Its time to get our heart and mind lined up with the word of God. How many relationships are we in that we have never even seeked Gods approval about, then wonder why we are getting dogged and mistreated. Stop trying to get love from an unloving person. Stop putting up with anything because you have low self-esteem. Lets get to the root of this. Seek God, pour your heart out so that you can be healed in the name of Jesus…

    Most gracious father, we come to you today with bowed heads and humbled hearts begging for forgiveness of our sins. Father we ask that you show up in our lives to help us heal. Father we ask that you help us to uncover all the masks that we have put on over the years. Help us to be able to love the people who hurt us, help us to the love the people who have mistreated us. Father God we ask that you give us the knowledge needed to be the individuals that you created us to be. Father you created us to have an abundant life not a miserable one. Father remove anything in our lives that separate us from you. Father create in us a clean and pure heart so that we may love as you love. Father rebuke everything that is not of you in our lives. We plead the blood of jesus over our lives on this day…. In Jesus name we pray and ask it all!! Amen!!!

    What does your life say about you? Are you really living what you are talking about? Are you living for God, or are you living for yourself? These are the questions I want you to ask yourself and answer today. The scripture states that a tree is recognized by its fruit. So Today I want you to make a conscious decision to do the right thing. It’s so funny that our society does whatever these rappers and entertainers say. But I can promise you they are leading you down a path of destruction Life is not about getting drunk every friday, saturday and sunday. What examples are we setting for our children. Life is not about you even thought im sure most think it is. You have the set standards for your family. Not some celebrity who could careless about you. It’s a man who died for you, so that you can have a wonderful abundant life. Lets start quoting his “lyrics” and living the way he lived……

     

    “make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree os recognized by its fruit.” (Matthew 12:33 NIV)

     

    Dear father we come to you this day saying we love you and adore you. We thank you for the gift of life on this day. If you don’t do anything else in our lives you have already done enough.. You are so faithful and consistent in our lives even when we are not and we are forever grateful for that.. Father God on this day we ask that you help us with our thoughts and our insecurities.. help us to lean not on our own understanding and feelings but to acknowledge you and trust that you shall direct our paths.. You created us to be believers not beggars or doubters. Its time that we start exercising our faith. Father you gave us power and dominion to walk in authority so its time to grow up in our faith and stop being timid… Father ignite the fire in us so that we can do your will.. Decrease us and increase you!!!!! In Jesus name we pray and ask it all.. AMEN!!

  • I’ll pray for you

    I want very much to see you and give you some spiritual gift to make your faith stronger. I mean that I want us to help each other with the faith that we have. Your faith will help me, and my faith will help you. (Romans 1:11, 12)

    You ever been in that moment where someone is crying out to God and the gates of hell open up and try to consume them? I don’t know if anyone else had a family member that is struggling with drug addiction, alcoholism, mental illness, broke ism or just lack of faith but many if mines are. It’s a constant struggle for me to know when to say something, when to do something and when to do nothing.

    I always feel like my love and faith in Jesus will be so visible that they will have faith and trust him too. I keep thinking who would not trust a God who created an ocean? Who formed the earth, spoke man into existence? Who could not serve a God who sacrificed his own son to reconcile us back to grace? Who could not serve a God that will come into a lions den, who would come into the fiery furnace, who would lend strength to your rocks to slay a dragon.

    If you could hear my story you would understand why I serve him. He did not do all the things for me that he did for the bible legends but he did find me in darkness and bring light. He did find me mentally and emotionally drained and filled me up. He found me hurt and broken and he healed me. He will do it for you too, until you can believe I will believe for you. I will keep praying to God for them and for you.

  • My prayer today.

    For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38, 39 NKJV)

    There is nothing Father greater than your Love! I am standing here Lord humbled by the depth of your love for us. Your word says Nothing can separate us from you, hallelujah to your name. How great is our God! I commit myself to your word and know that nothing can separate me from you! I don’t always understand the plan but I know you do! I thank you for doing what’s best for me even when I can’t see it. I praise you because even when I mess up you work it out for my good. I’m standing on this word today and loving you with my heart, mind, soul and body. in Jesus name, Amen.

  • Don’t listen to the crowd

    I have always been moved by Fred Hammond’s song “Please don’t pass me by”. In summary it’s about a man who feels Jesus presence and calls out to him. Well the man was blind and in my mind I have cast him as broke and broken as well, the crowd was telling him to stop bothering Jesus because he had nothing to offer Jesus. But this mans need was so great, his faith so strong that in his heart he knew he needed Jesus and he continued to cry out to him in spite of what the crowd said. This man told Jesus I know I’m broken but I will serve you if you let me.

    Can I tell you I am unable to hear this song without tears falling because this mans cry is just like mines. The enemy will tell you to stop bothering Jesus because your problem is not big enough for Jesus to be worried about. The enemy will remind you about your sin over and over as if your sin defines who you are. The enemy would have you believe that your particular sin is bigger than God and God can’t use you. The enemy is a liar, stop listening to him. Believe what Jesus said, it’s real.

    “Come to me all of you who are tired from the heavy burden you have been forced to carry. I will give you rest. Accept my teaching. Learn from me. I am gentle and humble in spirit. And you will be able to get some rest. Yes, the teaching that I ask you to accept is easy. The load I give you to carry is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30 ERV)

  • Water

    Water
    liquid of rain and rivers:the clear colorless liquid, odorless and tasteless when pure, that occurs as rain, snow, and ice, forms rivers, lakes, and seas, and is essential for life.

    Water, think about how it feels going down your throat after a hard work out, a long walk or after a great meal, you can almost feel it restoring vital nutrients to your cells and organs.

    Think about how it feels running over your body in the tub or shower. How many days do you come home tired, hot, drained or run down and a you can think is, I need a shower before I take one more step?

    You ever have that feeling in life where nothing seems to satisfy you? You know how it is when you’ve been drinking pop and juice all day and your still thirsty? Well after you have thirsted in life for something more, hopefully before you try drugs, sex, alcohol or gambling call me. I know about a man who can have give you something to cure your everlasting thirst for something more, that missing piece, it can feel that void. Living water!

    Jesus answered, “You don’t know what God can give you. And you don’t know who I am, the one who asked you for a drink. If you knew, you would have asked me, and I would have given you living water.” (John 4:10 ERV)

    If anyone believes in me, rivers of living water will flow out from their heart. That is what the Scriptures say.” (John 7:38 ERV)

  • Ipray(give me you)

     I’m driving in my car on my way to work this morning. Doing my normal singing, praise dancing and worshipping. Just having a good time with the Lord.(If you havent had car worship I beg you to get in the car cut your music on and zone out. Best time ever) So im singing and the tears start flowing. I sing ” its me Oh Lord, im on my knees crying out to you……Give me you, EVERYTHING ELSE MUST WAIT, Give me you, I just hope im not too Late”

    It hit me, we go through out our day rushing to get up, rushing to get the kids ready, rushing to get our spouses to work, rushing to work ourselves. Never taking the time to stop and thank God for the smallest things like WAKING UP this morning. Check the news a lot of people didn’t make it to see today. But you did, He gave you another chance at life, another 24 hours to do what he created you to do. Please lets not waste this day. Get on your knees, go in your prayer closet and talk to God. Everything else can really wait. If you are not spiritually fed, how can you possibly help your family to be. 

    Dear father, we come to you on this day begging for forgiveness of the sins we have committed knowingly and unknowingly. Father asking that you remove everything so that we can worship with you. Father we come to you on our knees asking you to see about us. Not our neighbor, not our friends, not our spouse, not our family but US. We need you like never before Lord God. We are crying out asking that you fill us with Peace on this day. father we bind up the spirit of fear and loose courage. Father God you did not give us the spirit, you gave us power and today we stand in unity activating the power that you gave us. We rebuke the devil and all the plans that he has for our lives. We plead the blood of Jesus over our lives Lord God. We will be prosperous, we will be fearful, we will have Joy, peace and love in our lives. No more dysfunctional relationships, no more pain and bitterness. We are daughters and sons to the KING, so we are royalty and today and moving forward we will act as such. We love you father and we thank you for loving us in spite of our flaws. In jesus mighty name we pray and ask it all.

    Dear Father, I come to you on behalf of every person and every country that lost a loved on during the tragic bombing of the Towers, the brave citizens on the airplane, the members who were in the pentagon and both bombings of us embassies on this date. Lord we claim you to be The Lord of healing, by your stripes we are healed, not just our physical bodies but also heal our hearts and minds. We proclaim you to be the lamb of God, our peace and our salvation. Father the children of those killed are reaching adulthood, let their hearts be consumed with your grace and mercy so they can live lives free of mental oppression. Let them meet their destiny with arms open wide and their hearts free to love, free to worship. Lord we worship you, we magnify your name. Hallelujah God, we proclaim healing and restoration for our nation, for this country was built on your word, led by your standard and I know the day is coming when we will once again honor the king in our actions, words and laws. I ask these things in Jesus name, knowing it will be done. Amen

  • Are you ready?

    Why should I run to God just because I am in trouble, I’m not a hypocrite? People are always telling me to trust God, Pray to God, trust in The Lord, lean not to your own understanding, I have real life problems that are not the same as those people in the bible. That stuff happened a long time ago and Jesus is not waking around healing people today. People who go to church are mean, hateful and judgmental. The Pastor is this or that, the church just wants my money. Sound familiar?

    I believe what the bible says happened. You may think I’m just someone from Flint who goes to church and is repeating what I have been told. Not so, I am someone from Flint who has many of the same questions and concerns. I was happy with my life (I so wanted that to be true), I was not living a sinful life and I was good to people. I began to realize that all was not good, I was damaged inside from the things of my past and the decisions I had made. I realize that hurt people tend to hurt other people, unknowingly and most if the time unwillingly. Its a known fact that you hurt the ones you love. Yes the people who love you the most and the blood of your blood, flesh of your flesh children. So, are you willing to continue down this path or are you ready for something new?

    God hears your cries for relief and is there waiting for you to come to him.

    He helps tired people be strong. He gives power to those without it. Young men get tired and need to rest. Even young boys stumble and fall. But those who trust in the Lord will become strong again. They will be like eagles that grow new feathers. They will run and not get weak. They will walk and not get tired. (Isaiah 40:29-31 ERV)

    He promised to heal you if you turn to him.

    and if my people who are called by my name become humble and pray, and look for me, and turn away from their evil ways, then I will hear them from heaven. I will forgive their sin and heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14 ERV)

    Try him, you’ve tried everything else but was not satisfied. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

  • Direction

    Proverbs 3:6-7 “In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in you own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.”I heard this quote a while ago and it says “When you don’t have a destination, you have already arrived.” It struck me because I really thought I had everything together. I thought I knew what I was supposed to do with my life. I mean its mine right? Well no, it’s really not. God created us all for a purpose. And it wasnt until I got closer with him that I understood that. You should have seen me really trying to argue with God like, im young, I have time, I can still party, get drunk and go to church on Sunday like nothing happened last night, I can sleep with this guy and that guy and still be ok. WRONG,WRONG,WRONG and WRONG again. He said “look at you, you are all broken up and abused. These guys are using you up, they don’t care about you, the liquor is destroying your body drink by drink and you think you are ok”. With tears streaming down my face it was one of the first and realist conversations I had with God. I had to make some changes. Get rid of some relationships, stop having sex with a guy just because he was my “boyfriend”, I had to stop hanging in some places that I really loved. But you see, to get where God want you to be, you have to let people and things GO. I challenge you all today to look over your life and see what need to be cleaned out. I know you thinking girl please, my life is straight. But is it? If you had to stand before God today would he be pleased with the things you did just last night? Well I know he wouldn’t be pleased with me. So lets work together and be the daughters and sons God created us to be. Not the people of this crazy world. I love you and I hope you have a wonderful day. Lets start being accountable for our actions!!!

  • Really

    You ever have one of those days when all you can think is Really? Really God, you want me to do that? You want me to forgive them? You want me to jump even though I cannot see where I am going? Really God, your telling me I have to sit here and be patient when I could be trying to figure this out for myself. Really God, my child is in pain and I can’t help them? Really God, I can’t hear your voice or feel your touch but you want me to keep trusting you?

    Well I will have been trying to understand what I am suppose to do when these questions are on my mind or someone asks me, the Lord responded to my inquiriy with the word PEACE!

    Peace

    I took my troubles to the Lord; I cried out to him, and he answered my prayer. (Psalms 120:1 NLT)

    God, you give true peace to people who depend on you, to those who trust in you. (Isaiah 26:3 ERV)

    For the good of my family and neighbors, I pray that there will be peace here. For the good of the Temple of the Lord our God, I pray that good things will happen to this city. (Psalms 122:8, 9 ERV)

    People who work for peace in a peaceful way get the blessings that come from right living. (James 3:18 ERV)

    Greetings from Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James. To those who have been chosen and are loved by God the Father and have been kept safe in Jesus Christ. Mercy, peace, and love be yours more and more. Keep yourselves safe in God’s love, as you wait for the Lord Jesus Christ in his mercy to give you eternal life.
